2008 Mustang adds 2 new models!!

New for 2008 are the Ford Mustang Bullitt and the 2008 Shelby GT500 KR.
2008 Bullitt
The bullitt was first made famous in the 1968 film starring Steve McQueen. He drove a 68 Mustang GT in Hyland Green. The bullitt edition Mustang was first introduced in 2001 and was a 1 year limited production just like the 2008 will be. ( I actually had a dark hyland green #2967)

Also new for 2008 will be the Shelby GT500 KR where KR stands for King of the road. There are rumors of making only 1000 units and it will commerate the 40th anniversary of the 68 Shelby GT500 KR. Im guessing the Bullitt will then also be the 40th commerative edition of the 68.(duh) The first speculation was the GT500 KR would have 540 HP, now they are guessing 550 but who knows once it finally comes out. These forced induction 4V motors are notorious for making insane amounts of power with simple bolt on mods. Expect to pay well over sticker for the KR and watch the current GT500 premiums come back down to reality @ sticker.
2008 SHELBY GT500 KR:


• Celebrating the fortieth anniversary of the original Shelby Cobra GT500KR, Ford and Shelby collaborate on a new “King of the Road” Mustang with the 2008 Shelby GT500KR.

• Shelby GT500KR features an estimated 540-hp 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 with a Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pack, 3.73:1 rear axle ratio, short-throw shifter, and unique suspension tuning.

• Exterior design draws inspiration from the classic Shelby KR Mustangs and features unique carbon composite hood, wheels, and special 40th Anniversary badging and unique striping.

• Built at the Dearborn final assembly at Shelby Automobiles in Las Vegas, the Shelby GT500KR arrives in spring 2008 as an exclusive run of only 1000 units.
